چکیده

Abstract. How can FOSS GIS support generative economy processes in small settled communities? The paper answers this question by proposing a toolbox made up of specific open geospatial data that be processed through GIS. These consist maps, accompanied numerical values. The information collected is intended to lay the foundations for an open-access manual procedures creation database. This manual, currently under development, created within research funded Department Architecture and Urban Studies Politecnico di Milano integral part experimental game aimed at supporting students development local self-sustainability scenarios. The called GED Toolkit. acronym stands Generative Environmental Design, with term we refer approach design anthropized environment oriented towards economies. The presents good practices, measuring their consistency Economy Principles resource impacts mapping. are useful first place understand systemic features practice itself relationship territory hosts it, secondly verify possible transferability other contexts.

Using Knowledge Acquisition and Representation Tools to Support Scientific Communities

Widespread access to the Internet has led to the formation of geographically dispersed scientific communities collaborating through the network. The tools supporting such collaboration currently are based primarily on electronic mail through mailing list servers, and access to archives of research reports through ftp, gopher and world wide web. However, electronic communication can support the ...

Interlinking and visualizing linked open data with geospatial reference data

An increasing number of thematic datasets are published as RDF graphs and linked to other datasets by identifying equivalent resources in other relevant datasets. Among the set of properties usually used as data linking criteria, geolocation (addresses, locations, coordinates ) remains one of the most commonly used. However, resources that actually refer to complex topographic features are gene...
